Chalk Hill Residency
About
Chalk Hill Artist Residency offers artists across various mediums a 2-4 week stay at the Warnecke Ranch & Vineyard in Sonoma County, providing a rustic 1925 farmhouse, dedicated studio space in a repurposed barn, and access to oak woodlands, hiking trails, vineyards, and the Russian River for inspiration. The program hosts one artist at a time (or collaborators), with opportunities to exhibit and sell work at seasonal Open Studio events, though residents cover food, transportation, and materials, with a $500/week fee and limited scholarships available. It welcomes established, emerging, and visionary artists from all backgrounds, supporting those with disabilities where possible.
