About

Malt AIR is a distinguished visual arts residency program hosted by Maltfabrikken in Ebeltoft, Denmark, in collaboration with The Danish Art Workshops and The Jutland Art Academy. It invites professional visual artists from around the globe, particularly those at the beginning of their careers with documented exhibition experience and collaborations with curators. The program, spanning three months, is designed to foster exchanges between international artists and the Danish contemporary visual arts scene, supporting artists in the development of their practice through networking, studio visits, and professional meetings. Residents are provided with a studio, shared workshop facilities, accommodation, a travel grant, visa support, and a monthly stipend to cover living expenses and material costs. Tailor-made activities aim to facilitate networking with Danish artists, curators, and art professionals. Malt AIR encourages applications for residencies during specific periods in 2024 and 2025, offering a comprehensive package to support the artistic process and research phase, emphasizing time, space, and opportunities for reflection and focus.
