Saksala ArtRadius

Haukivuori, Finland

About

Saksala ArtRadius is an international artist-in-residence program located in Haukivuori, in the rural lake district of eastern Finland, founded by Dutch artist Marja de Jong to offer residencies to artists from around the world. The program provided stays in a unique art center with facilities for various artistic activities, but it has been reorganized and closed, with the association AREFS continuing artist residencies at a new location in the old railway station in Hiirola. It previously supported multidisciplinary art projects, courses, exhibitions, and collaborations in a sustainable art community setting.
