Studio Panicale is a serene artist residency located in the medieval village of Panicale, nestled in the foothills of The Apennine Mountains in Italy. The residency spans across two beautifully refurbished traditional houses, offering accommodation for up to 14 residents at a time. Residents can enjoy the large gardens, olive groves, and a modern studio space equipped with necessary tools like easels and a pottery wheel. The program is self-directed and open to a variety of creative disciplines including visual arts, writing, photography, and ceramics. Artists set their own agenda during stays ranging from one week to two months, providing ample time for reflection and creation. Studio Panicale offers a peaceful environment for artists to focus on their work while surrounded by nature. The residency is entirely self-funded, with weekly fees varying by season. Additionally, a bursary is available for student creatives, offering free accommodation for up to two weeks.
